About The Valley Pirates


The Valley Pirates Baseball & Softball Club is based in Westchester County, New York.  Established in 2021, this new club was formed by a committee of baseball and softball enthusiasts, current and former college and professional players and experts in strength and conditioning.

The love of the game mixed with fun, family and community engagement are at the core of the club.  The Valley Pirates offer elite and engaging player development, local travel and tournament teams, cutting-edge technology, services for high school and college preparation with a growing network of families, players, coaches, and college opportunities.

The Valley Pirates Baseball & Softball teams consist of local and tournament teams at various ages including College Showcase Teams. With former college and professional baseball players as trainers and field instructors, joined by industry experts in strength and conditioning, data analytics, technology, and "Team Managers" that care about player development and program value for each and every player. The Valley Pirates strive to keep players excited about the game of baseball, dedicated to working hard to achieve, and challenged to keep coming back.

John F. Robinson

Club CEO & President

John Robinson, original founder of the NY Silverbacks baseball program, now acting President of The Valley Pirates Baseball and Softball Club, he brings over 12 years experience in youth travel baseball from town to club. 

An entrepreneur with over 20 years developing businesses; John guides the management team on a daily basis. As a coach, he has over 12 years working with youth players from volunteering in local leagues to teaching at private clubs. As a player, John achieved playing baseball at a Division-1 Collegiate level, won a NAIA league championship with St. Thomas Aquinas, and participated on pro scout sponsored and managed elite travel teams. 

John has an Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems, a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from St. Thomas Aquinas, and is currently enrolled in the Biotech Entrepreneur program at Johns Hopkins University.

Steven Graves

Club General Manager & Director Baseball Operations

Steven is one of the owners of The Valley Pirates, and is the General Manager and Director of Baseball Operations.  

His main responsibilities will be running the club on a daily basis overseeing both baseball and softball divisions.  Steven brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, networks, and passion for athletic training and helping others achieve their personal goals..

Steven started working as a personal trainer while getting his degree in Exercise Science from Arizona State University. He has over 20 years of experience as a personal trainer, general manager, and head of operations in multi-sport facilities ranging from 4,000 to more than 120,000 square feet. Steven won two Metro Championships in high school baseball, team MVP senior year, and went on to play elite ball with several sponsored MLB scout teams.

Steven has worked as an owner-operator as well as a manager for companies overseeing multiple locations. He has served on executive committees and boards of governors, and has presented at numerous town hall meetings overseeing renovations of projects and operations ranging from $10,000 to $15 million. In addition, Steven has managed annual budgets in excess of $7 million. 

Among his proudest achievements, he led a private New York athletic club from No. 4 to the top-ranked club in North America. Steven managed the business, which features over 100,000 square feet and multiple floors, for 12 years.

Douglas Fidellow

Club CTO & COO

Doug is a former high school quarterback and ski race coach, and current amateur golfer. He is a sports performance and sports science technology expert with his own proprietary bio-mechanical analysis tool. proprietary bio-mechanical analysis tool.  

Doug's role as co-founder of The Valley Pirates is to bring cutting-edge technology focused around a purpose of engaging our members, delivering powerful performance training and monitoring, and helping our club members achieve greater athleticism and reaction times.

Doug is also experienced in data management, workflow efficiency, and design and development of cloud infrastructure. With expertise in cloud services, machine learning and delivery models, Doug designs platforms for some of the today’s largest international companies. With expertise in cloud services, machine learning and delivery models, Doug designs platforms for some of the today’s largest international companies.

He earned his BS Degree in Communication Studies from Northeastern University and is completing his Masters in Biotechnology Enterprise and Entrepreneurship at John’s Hopkins University.
